Mission The Queer and Funny Improv Festival aims to highlight the diversity of queer comedic voices, spread the joy of improv as an art form, and create a space where all can enjoy themselves while being their full selves.
Vision We are creating a space centered around queer joy. A space that is queer-led but whole community celebrated. A space where queer people are safe to gather, play, and be our own hilarious selves together. We see this space as part of a societal shift to no longer relegate queerness to the margins, but instead to normalize, value, and celebrate it in its multifaceted entirety.
We're Here, We're Queer... What Does That Mean to Us? Queer is an umbrella term for gender, romantic, and sexual identities such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and/or non-binary, multi-spirit, intersex, etc. If you feel like you’re queer, you’re queer to us, and you belong here!
Location Red Eye Theater 2213 Snelling Ave Minneapolis, MN 55404
This year's festival is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
